The First Virs Graphic Novel
I illustrated a page in the science fiction graphic novel, The First VIRS. It makes cutting-edge neuroscience topics more accessible to a diverse audience through the medium of a science fiction graphic novel.
The page I created illustrates how neuroscience research can be conducted within less-controlled settings, such as a museum setting, instead of only within a laboratory.

Sketch exploring the spectrum of neuroscience research
The above are research and sketches exploring the concept of the museum used as a laboratory. The museum or similar environments can be a good average between the methodology of field neuroscience and laboratory neuroscience. The Museum as a Lab approach combines the controlled experiment approach of the laboratory with aspects of ethological observations of field neuroscience.
